Dominique grew up in New York City during the heydays of the Mudd Club and Danceteria. Her unmistakable voice became a fixture to NY club goers with the recording of "The Dominatrix Sleeps Tonight," a dance floor smash which rocketed to the top of Billboard's dance
chart and established a notoriety of international proportions. Dominique blagged her way into several films, written and performed on several soundtracks, including the song "Play the Beat", for the film Salvation! in which she also starred. This track reached Melody Maker's Top Ten album chart in England. She also has performed on commercials, including singing on a Nike commercial for Malcolm McLaren. However, music has always been her main thing; Dominique recorded a single called "This Is Her Life," which shot up to number one in Belgium. Dominique has recorded albums with English favorites God's Hotel, Tyla from Dogs D'amour, Memphis singer/guitarist Gwen Spencer, Tito and Tarantula, The Blue Bonnets and most recently with Kathy Valentine (The Go-Gos) as the other half of The Delphines Dominique was also selected over hundreds of applicants nationwide to play in the Keenen Ivory Wayans Show houseband, which aired in late-night on FOX. She has also had the pleasure of working with such influential and legendary talents as Michael McDermott, Coolio, Young MC, Little Richard, London Quireboys, Johnny Thunders, Methadone Cocktail, Uptown Horns, Terry Reid, Clem Burke, Matt Sorum, George Clinton, Thomas Dolby, and, of course, Drag.
